Core Beliefs
The Bible is not a simple book. One could search for a lifetime and not fully grasp the wonderful truths within. However, that does not mean that faith in Jesus as Lord has to be complicated. Even Jesus says that little children can understand it! Far from an exhaustive theological statment, our Core Beliefs are a simple statement of faith. There are certain doctrines that the church has widely agreed on, and should be the basis of our life and practice. These nine Core Beliefs are intended to distill the Bible's teaching and be a foundation for our unity in Christ.

Bible
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, authoritative Word of God.
God
We believe that there is one God, who eternally exists in three persons, the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and that these three possessing the same nature, are worthy of all worship, confidence and obedience.
Jesus
We believe He is God’s only begotten son, born of a virgin; in His substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of all people through the shedding of His blood and death on the cross; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit was sent at Pentecost to unify all believers into one body, the Church, whose indwelling is the source and power of all acceptable worship and service. He is our abiding Comforter and Helper, and is ever present to testify of Christ.
Humanity
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but that in Adam all of humanity is sinful by nature and choice. Humanity is therefore, lost, alienated from God, and incapable of attaining salvation by any personal effort, merit, or ceremony.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God offered to all humanity by grace and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that all true believers, having been justified, shall be kept saved forever.
Resurrection
We believe in the physical resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The church is composed of all believers united into a spiritual family by the Holy Spirit.
Mission
We believe that the mission of each believer is twofold. The Lord Jesus Christ (a) commands all believers to love God and love others which is the ethic of all the saved and (b) commissioned His people to go and make disciples.
